1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe - Nassau Blue Factory - A/C The 1965 Chevrolet Corvette represents the year America's sports car truly matured into a serious performance machine - a year that perfectly combined sleek mid-sixties styling with genuinely advanced engineering. One of the most significant advancements in the 1965 model was the introduction of four-wheel disc brakes as standard equipment, a first for Corvette and a game-changer that dramatically improved stopping power and handling. It set a new benchmark for American performance cars and remains one of the key technical milestones that separates the '65 from earlier C2s.
