2010 BMW Z4 sDrive35i â?" Twin-Turbo Roadster with Power Retractable Hardtop Why This Car Is Special The 2010 BMW Z4 sDrive35i represents a significant turning point in the Z4's history. BMW completely redesigned the second-generation Z4 for 2009, and the big news was not just the new styling â?" it was the switch from a traditional soft top to a power retractable hardtop. For the first time, Z4 buyers got the open-air experience of a roadster combined with the structural rigidity, weather sealing, and cabin refinement of a coupe. That three-piece folding hardtop opens and closes in about 20 seconds and stows completely in the trunk. It was a genuine engineering achievement that changed the character of the car. The sDrive35i designation is the one you want.
