When Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador LP 700-4 in 2011, it marked a new era for the V12 flagship, succeeding the Murciélago with a bold, angular design penned by Filippo Perini. Its carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and push-rod suspension were revolutionary for a road car, directly inspired by Formula 1. Power came from a new 6.5-liter L539 V12 engine, a clean-sheet design that delivered 690 horsepower (700 PS), hence the "LP 700-4" designation. The Roadster variant, introduced in 2013, added an open-air dimension to the supercar experience, featuring a two-piece carbon fiber removable hardtop. The Aventador quickly became a cultural icon, appearing in films and music videos, and cementing its place as one of the most recognizable supercars of the modern era. In 2015, Lamborghini honored its long-standing partnership with tire supplier Pirelli by introducing a special edition of the Aventador, available in both Coupé and Roadster forms. The Pirelli Edition featured a unique two-tone paint scheme, with a matte black roof and engine hood contrasting with various gloss body colors, or vice-versa. Red accents adorned the exterior, including the Pirelli logo on the tires and the subtle red stripe running along the car's profile. Inside, a bespoke interior featured black Alcantara with red stitching and Pirelli badging, underscoring the exclusivity of this limited-run model. This 2016 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Pirelli Edition, with 16,250 miles on the clock, presents a striking example of this collaboration. Its 6.5L V12 engine, paired with an automatic transmission, continues to deliver the visceral performance and unmistakable soundtrack expected of a Lamborghini flagship, all while offering the exhilaration of open-top motoring. This is an opportunity to acquire a distinctive variant of a modern Lamborghini legend.
