Motor Trend Car Of The Year- The Chevrolet Corvette C5, recognized as Motor Trend's 'Car of the Year' in 1998, represented a significant leap forward in terms of design, performance and technology for the iconic American sports car. The C5 was the first Corvette to feature a hydroformed frame, which improved rigidity and handling compared to previous models. It also introduced a new rear-mounted transaxle for better weight distribution and performance.
