When Ferrari unveiled the 488 Pista at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, it wasn't just another special series car; it was a pure distillation of Maranello's racing prowess, designed to push the boundaries of performance for a road-legal machine. Following in the illustrious footsteps of track-focused V8 specials like the 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia, and 458 Speciale, the Pista (meaning 'track' in Italian) arrived with the most powerful V8 engine in Ferrari history at the time. Its twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8, derived from the multi-award-winning unit found in the 488 GTB, was significantly re-engineered with components from the 488 Challenge and GTE race cars, producing a staggering 710 horsepower. Coupled with a substantial weight reduction of 198 pounds and advanced aerodynamic solutions like the S-Duct and revised diffuser, the Pista delivered a driving experience that blurred the lines between road and race car, capable of a 0-60 mph sprint in just 2.85 seconds. This stunning 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista, showing a mere 5,616 miles, exemplifies the model's extreme ethos with an extensive array of factory carbon fiber options. The Rosso Ferrari colored inner details provide a vibrant contrast to the exterior. Further enhancing its aggressive aesthetic and lightweight construction are the carbon fiber front air splitter, carbon fiber engine covers, and carbon fiber front air vents, all contributing to its track-bred persona. Practicality for spirited road use is also addressed with the essential front lift system, protecting that carbon chin. Of course, no Ferrari of this caliber would be complete without the iconic 'Scuderia Ferrari' shields adorning its flanks. This is a rare chance to acquire a meticulously specified example of Ferrari's ultimate track-focused V8.
