The Porsche 911 Carrera stands as the quintessential sports car from Stuttgart, a model whose lineage traces directly back to the original 901 unveiled at the 1963 Frankfurt Auto Show. For over half a century, the 911 has continuously refined its iconic rear-engine, flat-six formula, evolving through generations while steadfastly adhering to its core principles of driver engagement and engineering excellence. The 991 generation, introduced in 2012, represented a significant leap forward, growing in stature and sophistication while retaining the raw, mechanical feel that defines a 911. Its wider track, longer wheelbase, and electro-mechanical power steering brought a new level of stability and precision, cementing its place as one of the most capable and desirable iterations of the legendary sports car. This particular 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera, a two-door coupe, exemplifies the enduring appeal of the 991 generation. Power comes from the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine, a unit celebrated for its linear power delivery and intoxicating soundtrack. Mated to a manual transmission, this 911 offers an unadulterated connection between driver and machine, a increasingly rare and cherished experience in modern sports cars. With 142,270 miles, this Carrera has been enjoyed on countless journeys, a testament to the robust engineering and everyday usability that Porsche builds into every 911. This is an opportunity to acquire a well-exercised example of a beloved generation, poised for many more miles of driving pleasure.
