The Shelby Super Snake has long stood as the pinnacle of Mustang performance, a nameplate synonymous with outrageous power and track-honed capability. Born from Carroll Shelby's relentless pursuit of speed, the Super Snake traces its lineage back to the legendary 1967 GT500 Super Snake, a one-off experimental car that pushed the boundaries of what a Mustang could be. While that original remained a unicorn, the modern Super Snake program, revived in the 21st century, has consistently delivered production cars that embody its spirit: taking an already potent Shelby GT500 or GT and elevating it to hypercar-baiting levels. Each generation builds on this legacy, transforming the Mustang into a street-legal missile with distinct visual aggression and a thoroughly re-engineered chassis. This particular 2026 Ford Mustang Super Snake arrives as a brand-new, zero-mile example, ready to unleash its formidable power. Under the hood lies a supercharged 5.0L Gas V8, meticulously enhanced by Shelby to produce in excess of 830 horsepower, ensuring breathtaking acceleration and a soundtrack to match. Power is channeled through a precise 6-speed manual transmission, offering an unadulterated connection between driver and machine. Beyond the engine, this Super Snake benefits from a comprehensive suite of Shelby upgrades, including a performance-tuned Shelby by Borla exhaust system, a track-ready Shelby suspension system, Shelby performance-spec tires for maximum grip, and a Shelby brake rotor upgrade to rein in all that potent force. This is a fresh canvas, a blank slate for its next owner to write their own chapter in the Super Snake legend.
