The McLaren 720S, introduced in 2017 as the vanguard of the brand's Super Series, redefined what was possible for a road-legal supercar. Succeeding the acclaimed 650S, the 720S brought with it a host of innovations, most notably the Monocage II carbon fiber tub that offered unparalleled rigidity and a remarkably low curb weight. Its striking "shrink-wrapped" design, characterized by the absence of visible air intakes on the flanks, instead channeled air through the headlights and within the bodywork, creating an aesthetic that was as functional as it was dramatic. Power came from the new M840T engine, a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, which, in its factory tune, produced an astonishing 710 horsepower (720 PS, hence the name) and 568 lb-ft of torque, capable of propelling the car to 60 mph in under 3 seconds. The Spider variant, launched shortly thereafter, retained the coupe's blistering performance while adding the visceral thrill of open-air motoring with its retractable hardtop. This 2022 McLaren 720S Spider Performance elevates that already extraordinary foundation with an impressive suite of modifications totaling over $60,000. Showing 18,053 miles, this convertible supercar is powered by its 4.0L Twin Turbo V8, now further enhanced beyond its factory 720hp and 568ft. lbs. thanks to an undisclosed tune and a performance exhaust system. The aggressive stance is amplified by a full RYFT body kit, transforming its already distinctive lines into something even more commanding. Power is channeled through a seamless 7-speed double-clutch transmission, ensuring every one of its formidable horses is deployed with precision. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a highly customized McLaren 720S Spider, ready to deliver an even more exhilarating driving experience.
