The eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, known internally as the C8, marked a seismic shift in the model's storied 60-year history. Unveiled in 2019, it was the first production Corvette to adopt a mid-engine layout, a configuration teased in various concepts for decades. This radical departure from the traditional front-engine design was engineered to elevate the Corvette's performance to supercar levels, improving weight distribution, traction, and driver engagement. Power came from the revered LT2 V8, a direct descendant of Chevrolet's legendary small-block architecture, producing a formidable 490 horsepower in its standard Stingray guise. The C8 quickly garnered critical acclaim, proving that America's sports car could not only compete with but often outperform its European rivals, all while retaining a distinctly American character and value proposition. This 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, with 50,321 miles on the odometer, presents an opportunity to experience the revolutionary C8 generation. Power comes from the potent 6.2L LT2 V8, delivering 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, channeled through a quick-shifting automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The car comes recently serviced, riding on fresh tires, ready to deliver its exhilarating performance. Seize the chance to own a pivotal chapter in the Corvette's evolving legacy.
