The DB11, launched in 2016, marked a pivotal moment for Aston Martin. As the first car introduced in the "second century" plan, it ushered in a new design language and platform, replacing the venerable DB9. The Volante convertible variant, arriving shortly after the coupe, further amplified the grand touring experience, allowing occupants to fully immerse themselves in the aural symphony of its powertrains. While early models featured a V12, the introduction of the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0L twin-turbo V8 brought a lighter, more agile character to the DB11, particularly suited to the open-top Volante, enhancing both performance and efficiency without compromising Aston Martin's signature blend of power and poise. This 2020 Aston Martin DB11 Volante, with 12,470 miles on the odometer, exemplifies that refined exhilaration. Clad in a stunning Q Special "Scorpus Red" metallic paint, its sculpted lines are accentuated by this premium finish, creating a truly commanding presence. The cabin is an exquisite study in luxury, featuring an all-Obsidian Black leather interior that provides a sophisticated contrast to the vibrant exterior. Power comes from the potent 4.0L gas V8, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, delivering the thrilling rear-wheel-drive performance and evocative exhaust note expected of a British GT. This DB11 Volante offers a compelling opportunity to own a modern Aston Martin that perfectly balances open-air exhilaration with timeless elegance.
