The Porsche 911 Targa, with its distinctive retractable roof panel and fixed roll hoop, has always occupied a unique space within the iconic 911 lineage. First introduced in 1965 as a response to perceived safety concerns regarding convertibles in the US market, it quickly became a beloved variant, offering open-air motoring with a sense of security and structural rigidity. The 991 generation, produced from 2012 to 2019, marked a triumphant return to the original Targa concept, featuring an intricate, fully automatic roof mechanism that stows the center panel behind the rear seats, exposing the occupants to the elements while retaining the signature silver roll bar. The GTS trim, introduced later in the 991.2 generation, elevated the Targa's performance, adding more power, a wider body, and a host of standard performance features that blurred the lines between grand touring comfort and track-day capability. This 2019 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS, showing 29,530 miles, takes that ethos and amplifies it with over $40,000 in tasteful, performance-enhancing modifications. Under the engine cover, the potent 3.0L twin-turbo H6, factory-rated at 450 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, breathes through a Soul Performance exhaust system, promising an even more exhilarating soundtrack. Power is delivered to all four wheels via Porsche's acclaimed 7-speed PDK double-clutch transmission, ensuring lightning-fast shifts. Visually, a comprehensive TECHART kit enhances the already athletic lines of the Targa, giving this particular example an undeniably aggressive and unique presence on the road. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a highly customized and meticulously upgraded 991.2 Targa 4 GTS, ready to deliver an unparalleled driving experience.
