The 718 generation of the Porsche Cayman, introduced in 2016, marked a significant departure from its predecessors, embracing a turbocharged flat-four engine configuration. This move, while initially met with some purist apprehension, imbued the Cayman with a new character, delivering instant torque and impressive efficiency. The "718" designation itself is a nod to Porsche's legendary four-cylinder racing cars of the late 1950s and early 1960s, a testament to the brand's enduring commitment to lightweight, mid-engined performance. The S variant, in particular, stood out with its larger 2.5-liter engine, offering a substantial boost in power and an even more exhilarating driving experience, firmly cementing its place as a formidable sports coupe in the Porsche lineup. This 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman S exemplifies the model's potent blend of performance and daily usability. With 32,397 miles on the odometer, it presents a well-maintained example of the breed. Under the rear decklid lies the potent 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four, factory-rated at a robust 350 horsepower, ready to propel this coupe with thrilling urgency. Adding a distinctive touch to its aesthetic are the striking Carrera S wheels, which perfectly complement the Cayman's athletic stance and hint at its performance capabilities. This is an exceptional chance to acquire a modern Porsche sports car that delivers an engaging driving experience at every turn.
