While many manufacturers chase performance figures and lap times, Rolls-Royce has always existed in a different dimension, prioritizing effortless luxury and an unparalleled driving experience. The Ghost, introduced in 2009, represented a significant evolution for the marque. Positioned as a slightly more driver-focused (if such a term can truly apply to a Rolls-Royce) and contemporary alternative to the flagship Phantom, it retained the brand's iconic presence and "magic carpet ride" while appealing to a new generation of ultra-luxury buyers. Sharing its platform with the BMW 7 Series, the Ghost was nevertheless engineered and crafted to Rolls-Royce's exacting standards, quickly becoming a cornerstone of their modern lineup. This 2017 Rolls-Royce Ghost Base exemplifies that philosophy, presenting in a condition befitting its pedigree with a mere 14,117 miles on the odometer. Propelled by its silken V12 engine, power delivery is, as always, described as "sufficient," seamlessly channeled through an 8-speed automatic transmission. As a 4-door sedan, it offers both commanding presence and supreme comfort for all occupants, wrapped in the understated elegance expected of a Rolls-Royce. This is a chance to acquire a meticulously maintained example of contemporary British luxury.
