The 991 generation of the Porsche 911, introduced in 2012, marked a significant evolution in the model's storied history. Larger, lighter, and more technologically advanced than its predecessors, the 991 maintained the iconic silhouette while pushing the boundaries of performance and refinement. For the 2017 model year, Porsche introduced the 991.2, a refresh that brought with it one of the most substantial changes to the Carrera line: forced induction. Gone were the naturally aspirated flat-six engines, replaced by a new generation of 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged units across the standard Carrera range. This move, while initially met with purist debate, ultimately delivered a remarkable blend of increased power, broader torque curves, and improved efficiency, solidifying the 991.2's place as a modern classic. This stunning 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible exemplifies the allure of the 991.2. With 39,598 miles on the odometer, this example is powered by the potent 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six, producing 370 horsepower, channeled through a crisp 7-speed transmission. The convertible top offers the quintessential open-air 911 experience, allowing the driver to fully immerse themselves in the aural symphony of the turbocharged engine. This is an opportunity to acquire a compelling example of the turbocharged 991.2 Carrera, ready for its next chapter of exhilarating drives.
