The 991 generation of the Porsche 911, produced from 2012 to 2019, represented a significant evolution in the model's storied history. While retaining the iconic silhouette and rear-engine layout, the 991 introduced a longer wheelbase, a wider front track, and a more rigid chassis, all contributing to enhanced driving dynamics. The Carrera S variant, in particular, has always been the sweet spot for many enthusiasts, offering a compelling blend of performance and everyday usability. For the 2017 model year, the 991.2 refresh brought a monumental change: the introduction of twin-turbocharged flat-six engines across the standard Carrera lineup, marking a new era for the naturally aspirated purists but delivering a substantial boost in torque and efficiency. This particular 2017 911 Carrera S Convertible exemplifies the exhilaration of the 991.2 generation. With just 28,842 miles on its 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, paired with a seamless automatic transmission, it promises both robust performance and the open-air freedom that only a Porsche convertible can provide. The Carrera S model, with its increased power output over the base Carrera, ensures a more engaging experience, whether carving through mountain roads or cruising along the coast. This is an opportunity to acquire a well-maintained example of a modern classic, ready for its next chapter of spirited driving.
