The 991 generation of the Porsche 911, introduced in 2011, marked a significant evolution for Stuttgart's iconic sports car. Larger, lighter, and more technologically advanced than its predecessors, the 991 quickly became a benchmark for performance and everyday usability. For the mid-cycle refresh in 2016, Porsche made a bold move, transitioning the Carrera models from naturally aspirated flat-six engines to a new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter unit. This shift not only boosted power and torque but also improved fuel efficiency, marking a new era for the base Carrera and demonstrating Porsche's commitment to innovation while preserving the 911's renowned driving dynamics. This 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible exemplifies the appeal of the 991.2 generation, offering the visceral thrill of open-air motoring combined with the potent performance of its turbocharged heart. Showing 36,403 miles on the odometer, this example is equipped with Porsche's lightning-fast 7-speed PDK transmission, ensuring seamless gear changes and optimal power delivery from its 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine. The convertible top allows for an immersive driving experience, letting in the intoxicating sounds of the boxer engine and the wind in your hair, making every drive an event. This 991.2 Carrera Convertible represents a fantastic opportunity to experience the modern iteration of Porsche's legendary sports car with the added dimension of top-down exhilaration.
