The Shelby Super Snake has long stood as the pinnacle of Mustang performance, a nameplate synonymous with raw power and American muscle taken to its extreme. While Carroll Shelby's original Super Snake in 1967 was a one-off experimental beast, the modern iteration, beginning in the mid-2000s, brought this legendary designation back to the streets. Built by Shelby American, these cars take an already potent Mustang GT and transform it into a supercharged, track-ready weapon, blending incredible horsepower with bespoke handling upgrades and an unmistakable visual presence. The 2017 model year was particularly significant, marking 50 years since that original '67 Super Snake, and Shelby American celebrated by limiting production of these special anniversary models. This particular 2017 Shelby Super Snake Convertible stands as a testament to that legacy, being one of only 500 produced for the anniversary year. With just 6,751 miles on the odometer, this Super Snake is barely broken in, powered by the formidable 5.0L V-8 engine, supercharged to deliver breathtaking performance. Mated to a responsive 6-speed automatic transmission with Select-Shift, it offers both exhilarating straight-line speed and the convenience of modern driving. The convertible top adds another dimension, allowing its next owner to experience the Super Snake's incredible exhaust note and immense power with the wind in their hair. This is a chance to acquire a meticulously maintained example of a rare and powerful modern Shelby.
