The Grand Sport nameplate holds a revered place in Corvette history, harkening back to Zora Arkus-Duntov's original five lightweight, race-bred prototypes from 1963. These ultra-rare machines were designed to dominate on the track, and though GM's anti-racing stance cut their careers short, they cemented the Grand Sport's legacy as the ultimate track-focused Corvette. Decades later, Chevrolet revived the moniker, first with the C4 generation, then with the C6, before introducing it to the C7 lineup in 2017. The C7 Grand Sport perfectly blends the Stingray's naturally aspirated 6.2L LT1 V8 with the Z06's wider body, aggressive aerodynamics, and track-tuned suspension, delivering a compelling package for enthusiasts seeking uncompromising performance without forced induction. This 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport 2LT Convertible exemplifies that potent combination, offering open-air exhilaration with serious road-holding capabilities. Showing 25,235 miles, this example is powered by the robust 6.2-liter LT1 V8, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, making it equally adept at spirited drives or comfortable cruising. As a 2LT trim, it comes equipped with a host of desirable features, blending performance with premium amenities. For those who crave a Corvette that marries iconic heritage with modern track-day prowess and the joy of a convertible, this Grand Sport delivers.
