The Porsche Boxster, first introduced in 1996, revitalized Porsche's lineup by offering a mid-engine, open-top experience that harked back to the legendary 550 Spyder. By the 981 generation, launched in 2012, the Boxster had evolved into a sophisticated roadster, lauded for its sublime balance, communicative steering, and the symphonic wail of its naturally aspirated flat-six engine. The 981 Boxster Black Edition, released in 2016, marked the pinnacle of the generation's standard Boxster offerings, celebrating its success with a host of desirable features. Limited in production, the Black Edition provided a curated package of luxury and performance enhancements, making it a fitting send-off for the beloved naturally aspirated era of the Boxster. This particular 2016 Porsche Boxster Black Edition Roadster exemplifies the breed, presented in its signature deep black finish. With 40,850 miles on the odometer, this enthusiast-grade convertible is powered by the celebrated 2.7-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, paired with the lightning-quick 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission – a $3,440 option that unlocks the engine's full potential. The Black Edition's standard 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels further enhance its aggressive stance and road presence, while the comprehensive interior and exterior upgrades deliver an elevated driving experience. This Boxster Black Edition offers the discerning enthusiast a chance to own a truly special iteration of a modern classic.
