The BMW M4, introduced in 2014 as the spiritual successor to the M3 Coupe, marked a significant shift in BMW M's philosophy. While the M3 sedan continued, the M4 badge was reserved for the two-door coupe and convertible variants, reflecting BMW's updated naming convention. This F82 generation M4 was notable for its departure from the naturally aspirated engines of its predecessors, instead adopting the S55 twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six. This engine delivered a robust 425 horsepower, providing a surge of torque that redefined the M car driving experience, while still retaining the M division's commitment to track-capable performance. It quickly established itself as a formidable contender in the performance coupe segment, blending everyday usability with exhilarating pace. This 2016 BMW M4 exemplifies the core appeal of the F82 generation. With 80,489 miles on its 3.0L gas I6 engine, it has clearly been enjoyed as intended, offering a compelling entry point into M ownership. Crucially, this M4 is equipped with the highly desirable manual transmission, providing an immersive and engaging driving experience increasingly rare in modern performance cars. The coupe body style ensures both striking aesthetics and a rigid platform for dynamic handling. For the enthusiast seeking an unadulterated connection to the road, this manual M4 presents a thrilling proposition.
