When BMW unveiled the i8, it wasn't just another sports car; it was a bold declaration of the future, a halo car for an entirely new electric sub-brand. Launched in 2014, the i8 captivated the automotive world with its striking, futuristic design, butterfly doors, and a groundbreaking plug-in hybrid powertrain that blended a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with an electric motor. This innovative setup delivered surprising performance with remarkable efficiency, challenging perceptions of what a hybrid could be. It quickly became an icon of sustainable performance, proving that eco-consciousness didn't have to sacrifice exhilaration. This 2016 BMW i8, with 66,769 miles on the odometer, continues to turn heads in its sophisticated Ionic Silver Metallic finish, accented by BMW i Frozen Blue highlights that underscore its electric heart. Inside, the cabin is a testament to BMW's forward-thinking luxury, featuring the Giga World package with Giga Ivory White full perforated leather upholstery. Power comes from the innovative 1.5L Electric and Gas Hybrid I3, paired with a seamless automatic transmission, delivering a compelling blend of performance and efficiency that remains relevant today. This i8 represents a unique opportunity to own a piece of automotive history that perfectly marries cutting-edge design with pioneering hybrid technology.
