The fifth-generation Ford Mustang, launched in 2005, masterfully blended retro-futuristic styling with modern performance, rekindling America's love affair with the pony car. Its aggressive stance and iconic design cues paid homage to the legendary Mustangs of the 1960s, while underneath, a sophisticated platform delivered a driving experience far removed from its live-axle predecessors. By 2011, the GT model received a significant heart transplant in the form of the "Coyote" 5.0-liter V8, a thoroughly modern, dual-overhead-cam engine that pushed output past the 400 horsepower mark. This revitalized powerplant, combined with a refined chassis, ensured the S197-II Mustang GT remained a formidable contender, offering exhilarating performance and a soundtrack to match, all while retaining its quintessential American muscle car charm. The 2014 model year marked the final iteration of this beloved generation before the all-new S550 arrived, making these later S197s particularly sought after for their combination of classic looks and contemporary performance. This striking 2014 Mustang GT Convertible, showing 74,000 miles, presents a compelling package for the enthusiast seeking open-air V8 exhilaration. Under its hood lies the potent 5.0-liter "Coyote" V8, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, ready to deliver its characteristic surge of power. The convertible top invites an immersive driving experience, further enhanced by a Solo Performance cat-back exhaust system that amplifies the Coyote’s already charismatic growl. Inside, the flawless black leather interior offers a comfortable and well-appointed cabin, featuring a power-adjustable driver's seat, cruise control, and the premium Shaker sound system. This single-owner, well-maintained example represents a fantastic opportunity to own a modern classic with timeless appeal and an intoxicating soundtrack.
