The Maserati GranTurismo arrived in 2007 as a triumphant return to form for the trident, blending Pininfarina's timeless elegance with Modena's passionate engineering. Designed as a grand tourer in the truest sense, it offered a sophisticated alternative to more aggressive sports cars, prioritizing comfort and style without sacrificing performance. The GranTurismo Convertible, introduced in 2009, further amplified its appeal, allowing occupants to experience the glorious V8 soundtrack unencumbered. The Sport trim, launched in 2012, refined the formula with a more powerful engine, revised suspension, and subtle aerodynamic enhancements, solidifying its place as a modern classic and a worthy successor to Maserati's storied open-top grand tourers. This 2012 Maserati GranTurismo Sport Convertible exemplifies the model's enduring allure, presenting a superb balance of exhilarating performance and luxurious open-air motoring. With only 25,085 miles on the odometer, this example has been sparingly enjoyed, allowing its 4.7L V8 engine and automatic transmission to deliver their characteristic blend of power and refinement. The engine, a naturally aspirated masterpiece co-developed with Ferrari, produces an intoxicating symphony, especially with the top down. This is a chance to acquire a meticulously maintained example of Maserati's definitive modern grand tourer, ready for its next chapter of spirited drives.
