The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, unveiled in 2011, marked a seismic shift for the Raging Bull, succeeding the formidable Murciélago. Its name, like many Lamborghinis, was drawn from the world of Spanish fighting bulls, specifically a particularly courageous bull that fought in Zaragoza in 1993. More than just a name, the Aventador introduced a new era of Lamborghini design and engineering, characterized by its sharp, angular lines inspired by the Reventón and Estoque concept car. At its heart was the all-new, naturally aspirated 6.5-liter L539 V12 engine, a clean-sheet design that would become the last of its kind for the brand before hybridization. This powerhouse delivered 691 horsepower to all four wheels, propelling the car to 60 mph in under three seconds and on to a top speed exceeding 217 mph, cementing its status as a hypercar icon. This 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 continues to embody that unbridled performance, showcasing the purity of its original design. With 37,271 miles on the odometer, this coupe has been driven and enjoyed, a testament to its enduring appeal and robust engineering. The 6.5L V12 engine remains a marvel, producing 691 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque, channeled through its ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) transmission, often referred to as a "manual" for its direct, visceral engagement. For the enthusiast seeking the raw, undiluted Lamborghini experience, this Aventador offers an compelling opportunity.
