The C6 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, produced from 2005 to 2013, refined the modern Corvette formula with its exposed headlamps and a focus on performance. Among its most celebrated variants was the Grand Sport, a designation that harkens back to the five purpose-built, lightweight racers developed by Zora Arkus-Duntov in 1963. Revived for the C4 generation and again for the C6, the Z16-optioned Grand Sport blended the wide-body styling and enhanced cooling of the Z06 with the standard LS3 engine, offering a compelling balance of aggressive aesthetics and street-friendly performance. It was offered in both coupe and convertible forms, providing enthusiasts with a choice between ultimate rigidity and open-air exhilaration. This 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z16 Grand Sport Convertible embodies that spirit, showcasing 53,878 miles on its 6.2L Gas V8 engine, paired with a smooth automatic transmission. The Grand Sport package bestowed wider fenders, specific wheels, and Z06-style brakes, giving it a commanding presence on the road. As a convertible, this example offers the visceral thrill of the LS3's exhaust note with the wind in your hair, making every drive an event. For the enthusiast seeking a powerful, stylish, and engaging American sports car, this C6 Grand Sport Convertible presents a fantastic opportunity.
