The C6-generation Corvette Grand Sport, introduced for the 2010 model year, revived an iconic nameplate with a potent blend of performance and everyday usability. Tracing its lineage back to Zora Arkus-Duntov's original five lightweight racers of 1963, the modern Grand Sport offered enthusiasts a wider body, Z06-style brakes, and a dry-sump oiling system on manual transmission models, all while retaining the standard LS3 engine. It was lauded as the sweet spot in the Corvette lineup, bridging the gap between the base model and the hardcore Z06, offering enhanced track capability without sacrificing comfort. This 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Coupe, finished in a striking Silverline hue, exemplifies that balance with a mere 19,254 miles on the odometer. Power comes from the robust 6.2L LS3 V8, paired with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, ensuring an engaging driving experience. This particular example boasts over $15,000 in performance modifications from reputable names like LG Motorsports and VR, suggesting a carefully curated enhancement aimed at further unlocking the Grand Sport's inherent potential. For the enthusiast seeking a C6 Grand Sport that's been thoughtfully upgraded and meticulously maintained, this Corvette presents a compelling proposition.
