The C6 generation Corvette, produced from 2005 to 2013, represented a significant evolution for America's sports car. Shorter than its C5 predecessor but with a longer wheelbase, it offered improved handling and a more refined ride. The C6 brought back exposed headlamps after two generations of pop-ups, a nod to classic Corvette styling while incorporating modern aerodynamics. Under the hood, the standard C6 debuted with the LS2 engine, later upgraded to the LS3 for the 2008 model year, delivering a substantial boost in power and cementing its status as a formidable performer capable of challenging European rivals at a fraction of the cost. This generation also saw the return of the ZR1 moniker, further solidifying the Corvette's high-performance credentials. This 2012 Chevrolet Corvette convertible exemplifies the C6's enduring appeal. With just 42,854 miles on its 6.2L LS3 V8 engine, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, this example promises exhilarating open-air motoring. The seller notes its excellent condition, a testament to careful ownership and enjoyment over the years. This particular C6 offers the perfect blend of modern performance and classic Corvette convertible charm, ready for its next enthusiast. This is an opportunity to acquire a well-preserved example of a beloved generation.
