The C6 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, launched in 2006, marked a return to the lightweight, high-performance ethos that defined the original Z06 in 1963. Eschewing the supercharger of its ZR1 sibling, the C6 Z06 was powered by the magnificent 7.0-liter (427 cubic inch) LS7 V8, a naturally aspirated powerhouse producing 505 horsepower. This engine, hand-assembled at GM's Performance Build Center, featured a dry-sump oiling system, titanium connecting rods, and a forged steel crankshaft, making it a track-ready weapon right off the showroom floor. The Z06 also benefited from an aluminum frame, fixed roof for increased rigidity, and wider fenders to accommodate larger wheels and tires, creating a truly focused driver's car that could compete with European exotics. For 2011, Chevrolet introduced the Z06 Carbon Edition, a limited production run of just 500 units designed to bridge the gap between the standard Z06 and the mighty ZR1. This special edition incorporated numerous features from the ZR1, including its carbon ceramic brakes, magnetic selective ride control, and a host of carbon fiber aerodynamic components. This particular 2011 Z06 is a prime example, showing a remarkably low 6,609 miles on its 7.0L LS7 V8, mated to its original manual transmission. Finished in a striking color, this Z06 boasts both the desirable Carbon Edition Package and the CFZ Carbon Fiber Package, ensuring it wears all the performance and aesthetic enhancements that make these cars so sought after. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a low-mileage example of one of the most potent and collectible Corvettes of its era.
