The 997 generation of the Porsche 911, launched in 2005, marked a triumphant return to classic 911 styling cues like the oval headlights, while simultaneously advancing the platform with modern technology and improved driving dynamics. For many enthusiasts, the 997 represents the sweet spot, blending analog feel with contemporary performance. The mid-cycle refresh, known as the 997.2, arrived in 2009 and brought significant upgrades, most notably the introduction of direct fuel injection engines, which boosted power and efficiency, and the option of Porsche's revolutionary PDK dual-clutch transmission. The Carrera S, with its larger 3.8-liter engine, offered a substantial performance bump over the base Carrera, further solidifying its place as the enthusiast's choice. This particular 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S, a 997.2 generation model, exemplifies the refined performance and timeless design that makes this era so desirable. Showing just 37,053 miles on its 3.8L Gas H6 engine, this coupe is equipped with the highly sought-after automatic transmission (PDK), offering lightning-fast shifts and an engaging driving experience. Its condition, reflected in a rebuilt title, has been documented, with the seller providing numerous images before and after repairs. This is an exceptional chance to experience the pinnacle of naturally aspirated 911 performance from a revered generation.
