The C6 generation Corvette, launched in 2005, marked a significant evolution for America's sports car, refining the groundbreaking performance of its C5 predecessor while reintroducing exposed headlights for the first time since 1962. Shorter and more agile than the C5, the C6 maintained the traditional front-engine, rear-transaxle layout, ensuring optimal weight distribution and handling prowess. It debuted with the new LS2 engine, a 6.0-liter V8 delivering a stout 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, solidifying its reputation as a world-class performance machine capable of exhilarating speed and everyday usability. This generation also saw the return of the Z06 and the introduction of the mighty ZR1, further cementing the C6's place in Corvette lore as a truly versatile and potent platform. This 2007 Chevrolet Corvette coupe embodies the accessible performance that defines the C6. Having covered 135,502 miles, this Southern car has been enjoyed as intended, its 6.0L LS2 V8 still eager to deliver its full 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a highly desirable manual transmission, offering an engaging driving experience that connects the driver directly to the machine. The addition of Apple CarPlay further enhances its modern usability, blending classic American muscle with contemporary convenience. This C6 Corvette presents an opportunity to experience a true performance icon with a clean accident history and a desirable manual gearbox.
