The 997 generation of the Porsche 911, launched in 2004, marked a significant return to form for many enthusiasts. After the more radical design departure of the 996, the 997 re-embraced classic 911 styling cues, most notably with its oval headlights, while integrating modern technology and improved performance. The Carrera S variant, introduced shortly after the base model, elevated the experience with a larger, more powerful engine, sportier suspension, and enhanced braking, cementing its status as the driver's choice in the lineup. This 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S Convertible, showing 45,684 miles, presents a compelling opportunity to experience the best of the 997 generation. Under its rear decklid lies the potent 3.8-liter flat-six engine, delivering a robust 355 horsepower in S trim. This power is channeled through Porsche's Tiptronic automatic transmission, offering smooth shifts for comfortable cruising or engaging manual control when the mood strikes. As a convertible, this example promises an exhilarating open-air driving experience, perfectly complementing the iconic wail of the naturally aspirated boxer engine. This Carrera S Convertible is ready for its next chapter with a discerning enthusiast.
