The E46 generation of the BMW M3, produced from 2000 to 2006, stands as a high-water mark in the lineage of BMW's performance icon. Following the success of the E30 and E36 M3s, the E46 elevated the formula with a perfect blend of everyday usability and track-day ferocity. Its heart, the S54B32 inline-six engine, was a masterpiece of natural aspiration, known for its individual throttle bodies, high-revving nature, and distinctive metallic shriek as it approached its 8,000 RPM redline. This generation quickly earned a reputation for its sublime chassis balance, communicative steering, and timeless design, cementing its status as arguably the greatest M3 ever produced and a benchmark for driver involvement. This 2006 BMW M3 represents the final and most refined year of the E46 production run, benefiting from all evolutionary updates and improvements. With a mere 52,615 miles on the odometer, this example has been remarkably preserved, allowing its next owner to experience the S54's full 333 horsepower and mechanical symphony. Paired with the highly coveted 6-speed manual transmission, this M3 offers the unadulterated, direct connection between driver and machine that defines the E46 experience. Its classic coupe body, finished in an unstated color that allows its iconic lines to speak for themselves, presents in condition befitting its low mileage. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a meticulously maintained example of a true automotive legend, ready to deliver thrilling drives for years to come.
