The 997 generation of the Porsche 911, launched in 2004, marked a triumphant return to classic 911 design cues after the more radical 996. Enthusiasts lauded its round headlights and more sculpted lines, harking back to the beloved air-cooled era while pushing performance boundaries with water-cooled advancements. The Carrera S variant, introduced alongside the base Carrera, brought a significant upgrade: a larger 3.8-liter flat-six engine, producing 355 horsepower – a substantial bump from the standard 3.6-liter. This generation also saw the introduction of Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard on S models, further sharpening its already legendary handling. The Cabriolet offered the quintessential open-air Porsche experience, blending the thrill of the 911’s performance with the joy of top-down motoring. This 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet presents a unique opportunity to experience the celebrated 997 generation. Showing 140,847 miles, this example has clearly been cherished and driven as intended, finished in a classic silver exterior complemented by a black convertible top. Its 3.8L flat-six engine is paired with the Tiptronic automatic transmission, providing a blend of spirited performance and effortless cruising. Recent maintenance includes a brand-new set of Brembo brakes, ensuring confident stopping power. The exterior is further distinguished by custom Porsche Carrera S side graphics, black wheels, and red brake calipers, lending it a purposeful and distinctive aesthetic. Inside, a rare special-order interior remains in exceptionally clean condition, a testament to its garage-kept life, and has been thoughtfully upgraded with a modern Apple CarPlay touchscreen system for contemporary connectivity. This Carrera S Cabriolet is ready for its next chapter of exhilarating drives and open-air adventures.
