The C6 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, launched in 2005, marked a significant evolution for America's sports car. Shorter and narrower than the outgoing C5, it brought a more refined aesthetic, shedding the pop-up headlights for fixed units for the first time since 1962. Underneath, it retained the proven hydroformed frame but introduced the mighty LS2 V8, a 6.0-liter powerhouse delivering 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This generation also saw the return of the exposed headlight design and a more upscale interior, solidifying its position as a world-class performance bargain while staying true to its front-engine, rear-wheel-drive heritage. This 2005 Corvette, finished in a deep black, embodies the C6's accessible performance. With 44,335 miles on its 6.0L LS2 V8, this example has been thoughtfully enhanced, featuring a full exhaust system with headers and a cold air intake, promising an even more visceral soundtrack and improved breathing. The exterior is further modernized with custom LED headlights and taillights, complemented by custom aftermarket wheels, while the interior boasts a Bose sound system and Apple CarPlay integration, alongside factory comforts like heated memory seats, a head-up display, and the iconic removable targa top. While it carries a rebuilt title from a minor front-end incident that saw the replacement of the radiator, AC condenser, and bumper, the seller attests to its excellent running condition, with recent brake service and a new starter. This C6 offers an enticing opportunity to experience the thrill of a modern classic with desirable upgrades.
