The C6 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, launched in 2005, marked a significant evolution in America's sports car icon. Moving away from the C5's pop-up headlights, the C6 returned to fixed units, creating a sleeker, more contemporary profile that would influence subsequent generations. Beneath the skin, it brought a larger 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine, boosting output significantly and solidifying the Corvette's reputation for accessible, potent performance. This generation also saw the return of the Z06 and the introduction of the mighty ZR1, pushing the performance envelope ever further and cementing the C6's place as a true contender on the world stage. This 2005 Chevrolet Corvette, a prime example of the C6's inaugural year, presents a compelling opportunity for the enthusiast. With 97,000 miles on the odometer, this manual transmission hatchback has been diligently maintained, boasting recent service that includes a replaced clutch and differential, ensuring its potent 6.0L V8 delivers power smoothly and reliably. Essential sensors, including the oil pressure and water temperature sensors, have also been refreshed, alongside new coils, coolant, and transmission fluid, all within the last 1,000 miles. An oil change with Liquid Moly 5W-40 was completed in August 2023, reflecting a commitment to proper care. This C6 is ready to deliver the unadulterated American sports car experience it was designed for.
