The C5 generation Corvette, launched in 1997, marked a significant leap forward for Chevrolet's iconic sports car. Eschewing the traditional ladder frame, the C5 introduced a hydroformed box frame, a rear-mounted transaxle for improved weight distribution, and a completely new LS1 V8 engine. This generation quickly re-established the Corvette's reputation as a world-class performance machine, blending American muscle with refined handling and daily usability. The convertible variant, in particular, offered an unfiltered connection to the road and the signature roar of its V8, making it a perennial favorite for enthusiasts seeking open-air thrills. This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible exemplifies the C5's enduring appeal, presenting in remarkable condition with an exceptionally low 5,500 miles on the odometer. Beneath its sleek bodywork lies the venerable 5.7-liter LS1 V8, factory rated at 350 horsepower, paired with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission for effortless cruising. Having been meticulously stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment, this car remains in collector-grade shape, reflecting its pampered existence. Recent servicing, including an air conditioning refresh and an oil and filter change, ensures it is ready for its next discerning owner. This is an opportunity to acquire a pristine example of the C5 Corvette convertible, a true modern classic.
