The E46 M3 arrived in 2000, building on the already formidable legacy of BMW's M division. Widely regarded as one of the finest driving machines of its era, and perhaps of all time, the E46 M3 perfected the inline-six formula with the naturally aspirated S54 engine. This 3.2-liter masterpiece revved to over 8,000 RPM, producing 333 horsepower in US specification and earning multiple "Engine of the Year" awards. The E46 generation also introduced the M3 Convertible, offering an open-air experience without significantly compromising the M3's renowned chassis dynamics and aggressive, yet elegant, styling. It remains a benchmark for driver involvement and analog feel in a world increasingly dominated by digital interfaces. This 2002 BMW M3 Convertible presents an opportunity to own a cherished piece of BMW M history, showing 80,917 miles on the odometer. Power comes from the iconic 3.2L S54 inline-six engine, paired with an automatic transmission for a more relaxed cruising experience when the top is down. While a driver's car at heart, the seller notes some minor cosmetic imperfections, including chipping on the front right turn signal and a clipped rear bumper, indicative of its 20 years of faithful service. This M3 offers the quintessential E46 M3 experience, ready for its next enthusiast owner.
