The C5 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, produced from 1997 to 2004, marked a pivotal moment in the storied history of America's sports car. After the long-running C4, the C5 arrived with a revolutionary hydroformed box frame, a rear-mounted transaxle for optimal weight distribution, and the legendary LS1 V8 engine. This new architecture transformed the Corvette, elevating its performance, refinement, and handling dynamics to genuinely world-class levels. The C5 Convertible, in particular, offered an intoxicating blend of open-air exhilaration and genuine sports car capability, quickly becoming a popular choice for enthusiasts seeking a modern classic with everyday usability. This 2001 Corvette Convertible exemplifies the enduring appeal of the C5, presenting a well-preserved example with 71,220 miles on the odometer. Under the hood lies the venerable 5.7L LS1 V8, factory-rated at 350 horsepower, paired with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission for effortless cruising. The striking Magnetic Red Metallic exterior is complemented by a tan canvas convertible top, creating a timeless color combination that stands out. Polished 17-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels complete the classic look, while the tan bucket seat interior offers a comfortable and inviting cabin with modern amenities like cold A/C and a factory AM/FM/CD radio. This C5 Convertible offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the thrill of a modern classic Corvette.
