The Porsche 996 generation, launched in 1997, marked a pivotal moment in 911 history, ushering in the first water-cooled engine for the iconic sports car. While initially a departure for purists, the 996 quickly proved its mettle, offering a more refined driving experience, increased power, and improved packaging over its air-cooled predecessors. The Carrera 4 variant, with its all-wheel-drive system, provided enhanced stability and traction, making it a formidable performer in diverse conditions, and a compelling choice for those seeking a more confident grand touring experience from their 911. This particular 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Convertible exemplifies the enduring appeal of the 996 generation, presenting in a striking Zenith Blue Metallic over a Savanna Beige interior. With just 48,415 miles on its 3.4L naturally aspirated flat-six engine, this example has been meticulously maintained, reflecting its "Great Condition!" status. The true enthusiast's choice of a 6-speed manual transmission ensures an engaging and unadulterated driving experience, allowing the driver to fully exploit the Carrera 4's balanced chassis and responsive power delivery. This well-preserved 996 C4 offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire a modern classic with a desirable specification.
