The fifth-generation Corvette, known as the C5, marked a significant leap forward for America's sports car. Introduced in 1997, it was a ground-up redesign, moving away from the C4's angular lines to embrace a more aerodynamic, flowing aesthetic. Beneath the surface, the C5 brought a hydroformed box frame, a rear-mounted transaxle for improved weight distribution, and the legendary LS1 V8 engine, instantly cementing its place as a performance bargain capable of challenging European exotics. The convertible variant, particularly, offered an exhilarating open-air experience without sacrificing the C5's renowned handling dynamics. This 2000 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible presents a remarkable opportunity to experience the C5 era in exceptional condition. Showing a mere 15,227 miles on the odometer, this example has been sparingly driven, preserving its factory fresh feel. Power comes from the robust 5.7L LS1 V8, paired with a desirable manual transmission, offering a direct and engaging driving experience that enthusiasts crave. The convertible top provides the perfect complement to the V8 soundtrack, allowing for an immersive sensory experience on every drive. This low-mileage C5 convertible is ready for its next chapter on the open road.
