The Ferrari 360 Modena, introduced in 1999, marked a significant departure from its F355 predecessor, ushering in a new era of Ferrari design and engineering. Penned by Pininfarina's Goran Popović under the direction of Frank Stephenson, its flowing lines and integrated aerodynamics were a stark contrast to the sharper edges of earlier models. Beneath the skin, the 360 was revolutionary, featuring an all-aluminum space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer and 28% lighter than the F355's steel frame, despite a 10% increase in overall dimensions. Its mid-mounted 3.6-liter "Dino" V8 engine, producing 395 horsepower, was a marvel of engineering, delivering a spine-tingling soundtrack and propelling the Modena from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. While many 360s were equipped with the F1 electro-hydraulic manual transmission, the rare and highly sought-after true gated manual cars represent the purest driving experience of this generation. This striking 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena embodies that purist ethos, featuring the coveted 6-speed manual transmission – a true collector's item in an era increasingly dominated by paddle-shift gearboxes. With 17,962 miles on the odometer, this example presents beautifully with its iconic Rosso Corsa exterior paired with a sleek black interior, a timeless combination that perfectly complements its aggressive yet elegant lines. The car has been diligently maintained, benefiting from a recent full service that included belts, fluids, and new catalytic converters. Further demonstrating its meticulous care, it is scheduled for a timing belt service at Ferrari of Salt Lake, ensuring it's ready for its next enthusiast owner. This is an opportunity to acquire a meticulously maintained, manual-transmission 360 Modena, a car that perfectly bridges the gap between classic analog feel and modern supercar performance.
