The fifth-generation Corvette, internally designated C5, marked a significant leap forward for Chevrolet's iconic sports car. Launched in 1997, it introduced a hydroformed box frame that vastly improved structural rigidity, a transaxle layout for better weight distribution, and an all-new LS1 V8 engine. The C5 was celebrated for its blend of performance, comfort, and everyday usability, cementing its place as a genuine world-class contender. It was also the first Corvette since the C1 to feature an exposed headlight design, moving away from the pop-up units that had defined the model for decades, and its sleek, aerodynamic profile became instantly recognizable. This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible presents a compelling opportunity to experience the C5 generation in open-air style. With a remarkably low 30,889 miles on the odometer, this example has been sparingly driven, preserving its condition. Under the hood lies the venerable 5.7-liter LS1 V8, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, offering effortless cruising and potent acceleration. This Corvette is ready to deliver miles of top-down enjoyment to its next owner.
