The C5 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, launched in 1997, marked a significant leap forward for America's sports car. After the long-running C4, the C5 was a clean-sheet design, benefiting from a hydroformed frame that dramatically improved chassis rigidity and refinement. It introduced the revolutionary LS1 engine, a 5.7-liter V8 that became an instant legend for its robust power delivery and tunability, laying the groundwork for the LS engine family's dominance. The C5 also brought back the convertible bodystyle, offering open-air exhilaration coupled with genuine grand touring comfort, solidifying its place as a performance bargain and a true contender on the world stage. This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible presents a fantastic opportunity to experience the C5's enduring appeal. With 111,022 miles on the odometer, this example has been enjoyed but clearly well-maintained, described as being in very good condition. Power comes from the venerable 5.7L LS1 V8, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, making it an ideal companion for both spirited drives and long-distance cruising. The soft top convertible allows for an immersive driving experience, letting in the roar of the LS1 and the open sky. This C5 Corvette Convertible is ready for its next enthusiast owner to drop the top and hit the road.
