The C4 generation Corvette, launched in 1984, marked a significant departure from its predecessor, bringing a sleek, aerodynamic design and a thoroughly modernized chassis to America's sports car. By 1992, the C4 had matured into a formidable performer, largely thanks to the introduction of the new LT1 V8 engine. This potent 5.7L unit, a direct descendant of Chevrolet’s legendary small-block, delivered a robust 300 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, transforming the Corvette's character. With a 0-60 mph sprint in just 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 171 mph, the '92 Corvette solidified its position as a world-class contender, blending American muscle with European handling dynamics. Of the 20,479 Corvettes produced in 1992, a vibrant 5,875 were convertibles, offering an open-air experience that perfectly complemented the car's aggressive performance. This particular 1992 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible stands out with its striking Bright Aqua Metallic paint, a color that perfectly encapsulates the early '90s aesthetic and was applied to just 1,953 examples that year. The exterior is beautifully complemented by a Light Beige leather interior, creating a classic and inviting cockpit. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the highly desirable 6-speed manual transmission, offering an engaging driving experience that connects the driver directly to the LT1's ample powerband. With 167,529 miles on the odometer, this Corvette has clearly been enjoyed as intended, its journey across the miles a testament to its enduring appeal and robust engineering. Equipped with dual power sport seats and the premium Delco/Bose CD sound system, this convertible offers a blend of comfort, technology, and exhilarating performance. For the enthusiast seeking an iconic C4 Corvette with a rare color combination and the engaging 6-speed manual, this Bright Aqua Metallic convertible presents a compelling opportunity.
