This 1987 Porsche 928 S4 for sale in Auburn, Massachusetts represents the pinnacle of Porsche's grand touring evolution. The S4 designation marked a significant advancement in the 928 lineage, featuring the refined 5.0-liter 32-valve V8 engine paired with the increasingly rare 5-speed manual transmission. Powertrain specifications include the naturally aspirated 5.0L DOHC V8 producing 316 horsepower, connected to the G28/50 5-speed manual transaxle. This drivetrain configuration represents the most desirable combination for 928 enthusiasts, as the manual transmission became less common in later production years. The rear-wheel-drive platform delivers the balanced weight distribution characteristic of the 928's sophisticated engineering.
