The third-generation Corvette, known by its C3 designation, stands as a testament to American sports car design, with a production run spanning from 1968 to 1982. Its iconic Coke-bottle styling, inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car, became instantly recognizable, embodying the muscular aesthetic of its era. While early C3s were powerhouses, the later years saw a shift towards refinement and emissions compliance. The 1982 model year marked the final chapter for the C3, distinguished by its unique "Cross-Fire Injection" system and a four-speed automatic transmission, a fitting send-off before the revolutionary C4 generation arrived. This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a true survivor from the C3's swansong year. With an astonishingly low 18,000 original miles on its 5.7L V8 engine, this example has been remarkably preserved. The automatic transmission provides a smooth and period-correct driving experience, allowing the driver to appreciate the car's original intent. Its condition as a low-mileage survivor makes it a rare find, offering a window into the past when these Corvettes rolled off the assembly line. For the enthusiast seeking an unmolested piece of Corvette history, this C3 offers a compelling proposition.
