The Chevrolet Corvette C3, a design icon that defined an era, enjoyed an impressively long production run from 1968 to 1982. Its distinctive "Coke bottle" waistline and dramatic fender bulges were inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car, quickly becoming synonymous with American performance and style. The final year of the C3 generation, 1982, marked a significant moment, as it was the only C3 to offer a four-speed automatic transmission with a lock-up torque converter, optimizing fuel economy and drivability as the model transitioned towards the upcoming C4. This particular year also featured a special Collector Edition, though all 1982 models hold a unique place as the culmination of 14 years of evolution for the third-generation Corvette. This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette, with a modest 61,300 original miles, stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of the C3. Under the hood lies the 5.7L V8 engine, paired with the aforementioned automatic transmission, a combination designed for smooth cruising and effortless power delivery. Described as show quality, this example has been meticulously maintained by its owner of over five years, ensuring it presents beautifully and runs exceptionally well. It's a car that evokes the spirit of 1982, ready to turn heads at any event. This is an opportunity to acquire a well-preserved piece of Corvette history, representing the final chapter of an iconic generation.
