The third-generation Corvette, known as the C3, holds the distinction of being the longest-running Corvette generation, produced from 1968 to 1982. Its iconic "Mako Shark" inspired styling, with its dramatic curves and long hood, became synonymous with American sports car design. While the C3 era saw significant shifts in automotive regulations and power outputs, the later models, like this 1980 example, refined the grand touring experience, offering a blend of classic Corvette aesthetics with improved comfort and handling. This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe presents a well-preserved example of the breed, showing just 45,076 miles on the odometer. Under the hood lies the venerable 350ci L48 V8 engine, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, making for an effortless cruising experience. The classic coupe body style remains timeless, offering a direct connection to a pivotal era in Corvette history. This Corvette represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a piece of American automotive heritage.
