The 1978 model year marked a significant milestone for America's Sports Car, celebrating 25 years of the Chevrolet Corvette. While every one of the 46,776 Corvettes produced that year wore special anniversary badging, it was also the year the C3-generation Corvette was honored with pacing the Indianapolis 500, leading to the creation of 6,502 Pace Car replicas. The '78 also introduced the fastback glass rear window, a design cue that instantly modernized the Stingray's iconic lines and improved cargo space, cementing its place as a pivotal year in the C3's long and storied production run. This particular 1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Coupe presents a compelling opportunity, showing just 38,665 miles on the odometer. Under the hood lies its numbers-matching 350ci L48 V8 engine, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, offering a classic American grand touring experience. The coupe body style, with its distinctive fastback roofline, is a hallmark of the late C3 era, providing both timeless aesthetics and a comfortable cabin for road trips. This well-preserved example invites its next caretaker to continue its journey on the open road.
