The 1978 model year marked a significant milestone for the Chevrolet Corvette: its 25th anniversary. To commemorate a quarter-century of America's sports car, Chevrolet bestowed upon the C3 generation a redesigned fastback rear window, dramatically improving luggage space and rear visibility while giving the car a sleek, modern profile. Two special editions were offered, but every 1978 Corvette carried special badging to celebrate the occasion, making each one a piece of this pivotal year in Corvette history. It was also the year the Corvette paced the Indy 500, further cementing its place in American motorsport lore and driving demand to an all-time high. This particular 1978 25th Anniversary Corvette presents a striking aesthetic with its black exterior contrasting sharply with a vibrant red interior, a classic and desirable color combination. Showing just 67,500 original miles on the odometer, this C3 has been meticulously maintained as a weekend show car and garage queen. Under the hood, it boasts a host of recent upgrades including brand new A/C, a new alternator, and a new power steering valve assembly, ensuring all systems are in excellent working order. Performance enhancements include long tube headers and a Magnaflow exhaust, providing an exhilarating soundtrack to match its iconic looks, all managed by a smooth 3-speed automatic transmission. This well-preserved and thoughtfully upgraded 25th Anniversary Corvette offers a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of automotive history that's ready to be enjoyed.
